Lane Tech Golf Notes…..

• Two Lane Golfers Named to Chicago Sun-Times List of Top Boys Golfers in the Public League. Congratulations to Juniors David Niemec and Andrew Hobaugh for being named on this list.

• There are 28 boys golf programs and 8 girls golf programs (Northside Prep, Mather, King, Morgan Park, Brooks, Young, Payton and Taft) in the Public League. Two years ago there were only 20 boys golf programs and 2 girls golf programs.
• Lane Tech surprisingly does not have a girl’s golf program.
• The Chicago Suntimes recently wrote two great articles on the state of Public League Golf. Click here for copies of those articles.
• Lane Tech defeated Von Steuben and Northside Prep on September 19, 2006.  With the victory over defending public League champion Northside prep, Lane Tech has made an statement tat they will be serious contender for this October’s Public League championship
