Jakub Dolecki of Lane Tech named to Special
Mention Chicago Fire All-Academic Team
The Chicago Fire professional soccer team
produces an All-Academic team every year. Over 124 players
spread out from 63 schools throughout the state of Illinois earn
distinction on this list as All-Academic, Special Mention, and
Honorable Mention for a combination of their work in the
classroom, in the communities, and on the field. This year, Lane
Tech senior mid-fielder, Jakub Dolecki was named on the 2006
Boys Special Mention. Dolecki joins Jeyser Perez of Walter
Payton as the only Chicago Public League representatives.
The 2006 selection of Jakub Dolecki to the
Special Mention Chicago Fire All-Academic team is just one of
another string of accomplishments for individuals on the 2006

first team Chicago Suntimes; all-area third team, Chicago
Suntimes; Special Mention all-state Chicago Tribune) and German
