(Winnemac Stadium- Chicago, IL) After beating Mather last week in a less than stellar performance and losing its first three games to Lockport, Evanston, and Simeon Lane Tech finally played a complete game and bounced Taft 27-0. Lane relied on a balanced offense of running and passing. The rushing attack was led by William Moorehead (12 carries, 57 yards, 2 TD’s) and Christopher Blackmon (6 carries, 42 yards). Lane Quarterback Robert Pienkos connected with Receiver Fuad Salami for a 50 yard TD reception. Lane’s defense held Taft to negative 19 yards total rushing yards.

Taft falls to a 1-4 record and face conference co-leader Curie next week. Lane is now 2-3 overall but 2-0 in the Illini-Red Bird Conference and face the Dolphins of Whitney Young next Friday 3:30pm at Hansen Stadium.
