Lane Tech, Simeon,
Morgan Park, and Curie all start out the season 0-2 as they lose their first
two games of the season to non-conference opponents. These team are generally perennial
state qualifiers but the key game for all three of these team will be their next
game for a loss will make the team 0-3 and provide very little margin for error
the rest of the season. Lane plays Simeon next week. Curie plays a tough Manley
team, who upset suburban team Reavis 18-0. Morgan Park will face an easier
opponent in Bogan next week.
