Lane relies primarily on a steady diet of running from Senior William Moorehead and Christopher Blackmon. Quarterback Robert Pienkos does have big play threats in receivers Chris Anton and KR/WR Fuad Salami. Lane(4-3, 4-0)  is undefeated in conference play with blowout victories  over Taft. Mather, Whitney Young, and last week 49-0 over Lincoln Park.

This game also has playoff implications. The winner receives an automatic berth to the state playoffs. Both teams will qualify for the Public League playoffs with winning records. However, teams that finish 5-4 are not guaranteed playoff berths. If Lane loses they will be 4-4 with a Public League playoff game still remaining.
