Publisher's response: I agree, this site needs to give more attention to freshman, sophomore, and JV levels. Part of the reason why this site was formed was to promote excellence for Lane Tech and all who put the best effort in pursuing that excellence. Not just varsity, not just the star players, not just the football team. To me, the person the team or person that puts fourth the best effort and works the hardest deserves the most attention. Since this site is just starting it remains a work in progress. If anyone has content to submit like Sophmore/Freshman schedules, articles, results ,or pictures, I will seriously consider publishing them. ---- Neil Hernandez; Publisher

neil, love the site, rich in content, insightful and succinct writing. suggest left margin directory by sport and another of miscellaneous nostalgia Lane stuff to make it easier to navigate. Try adding a blog down the road. Loss to simeon must have blown you away in the 2nd half; Lane must have been out coached at half-time. Bruce DeChambre

I totally agree with what you have to say. But i also agree with the person talking about the sophmore and freshmen teams. I was playing football at Lane last year as a sophmore. We shut down 7 teams in our schedule and won city vs. morgan park. The only team that beat us was lockport...yet no one bothered to go to our games. WE were not even allowed to use the stadium. All of our games were played at Horner park...even tho we shut down team after team.

The Lane Tech Sophomore Football Team wins again! 40-6. they play the next two games at Horner Park. Why can't they use the stadium? Does anyone know the answer? The sophomores playing at Horner Park is an insult! No goal post, no markers, no respect!

Neil, It was great seeing you out at the Alumni Game. The Class of 1986 (1985 City Championship Football Team) was grateful to have you capture this inspirational event which demonstrated that the honor and traditions of Lane Tech transcend the 4 years in which a student attends.
