Edwin Rodriguez decides to play soccer at Dominican University

All-Public League first teamer Edwin Rodriguez decided to continue his soccer career beyond high school by signing with Dominican University. Dominican University is a small private college located in River Forest, IL ten miles west of downtown Chicago.

"I choose Dominican because the coach there said I'd be able to start right away." said Edwin Rodriguez. At the same time, Dominican can serve as a valuable stepping stone to the next level. After playing for a couple years Rodriguez can choose to transfer to a bigger program while he develops his skills at Dominican.

The path that Edwin is doing is proven formula that has worked for many players. For example, former Lane Tech soccer star Emir Hadziahmetovic (class of 2004) started out playing for Oakton Community College, performed well at Oakton, and is now playing for Division I school the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Good luck to Edwin Rodriguez!!!
