Boys Lacrosse April 18, 2007 Back to Reality Libertyville 12 Lane Tech 4
(Lane Stadium- Chicago, IL) Lane Tech jumped out to start the season with surprising a 7-0 record. However, 5 of the victories came against weak Public League opponents. So when Libertyville came into town, many felt this would be Lane Tech's first "real" test of the season. Libertyville proved more than a worthy foe by overwhelming Lane Tech 12-4. Libertyville also spoiled a historic night for Lane as this was the first ever night lacrosse game at Lane stadium history. Also, this was game played in unseasonably cold temperatures hovering around 40 degrees with a bitter wind. Lane will not have much time to recover as they play the toughest stretch in their schedule over the next 12 days when they face Oak Park, Notre Dame, and St. Ignatius.
The boys lacrosse team is now 7-1 after a loss to Libertyville. (http://www.lanetech.illinoisboyslax.com photo) |
