The Lane Tech 2007 regular season softball ended on May 11 with an impressive 12-0 victory over Highland Park HS in Highland Park Illinois.  The Indians were lead by 1st baseman Rebecca Cavannaugh, #4, who went 3-4, had 6 RBI, and 2 massive HR's to ignite the offense.  A battery team of catcher Denise Bilski, #6, and pitcher Jackie Manrique held Highland Park to 2 hits and a complete game shutout.  The defense was spearheaded by Daniella Torres, #35, in the hot corner at third, along with the golden gloves of shortstop Maria Joyce, Bernadette Hansen and hot hitting Cavannaugh at first.

Up next for the Indians is an opening date with the Lakeview varsity team in the city of Chicago play-offs on Monday, May 14 at Horner Park.  Come join the team and cheer us on to victory as Lane Tech marches on and tries to re-capture the title of City Champs for 2007!
