Dynamic Duo

Morgan Monroe and Margie Zimoch made it past the state Prelims to advance to the second and final day of the girls state track meet. Morgan Monroe ran a 43.69 in the 300 meter low hurdles to win her heat to advance to today's (Saturday) final. Margie Zimoch leaped her season best of 17'09" to make it to the finals. Good luck Margie and Morgan in today's finals.

Lane Tech narrowly missed advancing in the 100 meter hurdles and the 4x400 relay. Senior Nia Muhammed saw her season end in the Prelims of the 100 meter hurdles despite running an incredible time of 15.44. The 4x400 meter relay ran a blazing 3:57.06 in the Prelims of the 4x400 meter relay but just missed qualifying for the second day by a mere .22 of a second.  Hindsdale Central squeezed into the final slot by finishing in a time of 3:56.84. The 4x400 time of 3:57.06 may even be a Lane Tech school record.
