I wanted to give you the exciting news that Lane Tech will be hosting the Chicago Indians Swim Club a USA swim club. This club team is an age group club team which will host kids from ages 5-21. This club team will allow not only Lane Swimmers to swim year round, but the entire city. The club team will also create a great feeders program for Lane Tech Swimming. A lot of you guys have heard me say that the only way to get to the state level is to swim year round, well here it is.

 

The club will have 5 levels of swimmers the yellow group, green group, Gold Jr. Gold Senior II, and Gold Senior I. The groups are divided by level of ability. We will be competing in swim meets around the state and around the country. We want to give YOU guys the chance to experience the best we can offer.

 

More Details::

 

Practices: Monday-Friday 5:15-7:30 (practices will include dryland activities) There will be 5-6 practices a week, a swimmer must attend 3 of these practices to be able to participate in swim meets.

 

Cost: To join the club the cost is $300.00. This will cover the $60.00 USA swimming memership, and the $240.00 club fee. If you are already a USA member than your cost is $250.00. This will cover the $10.00 USA club transfer fee, and $240.00 club fee.

    Times: 9am-11:30am

    Location: Lane Tech Pool (enter through door "D")

If  you would like you can come pick up the paper work on Tuesday and return it to Lane on Wednesday with payment.

 

Another issue for some is the cost of the club. We have tried to keep the membership as low as possible. We are the cheapest club team in Chicago, but if you find that you want to swim and are not able to pay the full amount we could work something out for payments. Do not let money be the factor that keeps you from swimming.
